2 Week Apt on Tuesday

Evey had her 2 week appointment last Tuesday, 2/17/09. She checked out fine. Her height was 21 3/4 inches, which puts her in the 90% of girls her age. Her weight was 8lbs 1.5 oz, which puts her a little over her birth weight (which is good), and puts her in the 42% of girls her age. Her head circumference was 14 inches, which puts her in the 38% of girls her age. The doc says that the measurements taken at 2 weeks don't determine their 'grown-up' height/weight/etc., but at 2 years we'll get a better idea. With her being up at her birth weight we're allowed to let her sleep as much as she wants at night, which is still apparently not all that much. She'll go about 3-4 hours at the beginning of the night and then wants to eat and then might sleep another 2 hours, and then the sun will come up and then theirs no sleeping after that. ;)

I had meant to add some picts, but for some reason they didn't upload before I was signed off. Sorry about that.
The first image is of Evey just sleeping during the week. The second image is of Evey doing some tummy time, getting her neck working out.
The video, below, is just of Evey being awake, which she is a little less than half the time.

Happy Valentine's Weekend :D

Happy Valentine's Day and Weekend !!!
Wee took a Valentine's Day Photo, the top pict. Evey has her little heart outfit on for the occasion. She had some 'tummy time' today (Sunday, Feb 15) to exercise her neck and arms, that's the second pict. The sun finally came out on Sunday so we went for a quick walk to the mailbox, that's the third and fourth pict. I put a little movie of Evey in her bouncer from earlier in the week.
She is officially 2 weeks old now, yay! We'll be going to her 2 week doctor visit on Tuesday, I'll let you know how it goes.

Evelynn - free from the UV blanket

Evey worked hard over the weekend and got her bilirubin level down to 13.9 on Monday, so we got to stop the UV blanket Monday. And on Tuesday she got it down to 12.9, we had to do a follow up lab work to check for a rebound. So, now she is free from the blanket and can be picked up when ever we want, yay!!!

The top picture is of Dad and Evey hanging out, which is much easier now that the UV blanket is gone. The second picture is of Evey and her Tigger Toy :)

The video is of Evey right after a sponge bath. Had to do it one limb at a time so she didn't know it was a sponge bath, as she doesn't approve of them. In the video she has a new outfit on and is ready to take on the day. Of course at the end of the video she lets you know her opinion of that, you may need to listen closely but you can hear it ;)

More Evelynn Picts

Hi, the last few days have been a bit of a blur so we haven't gotten much of a chance to put up picts. But here they are :D. She has a bit of Jaundice and has to use a UV blanket when she's not eating or being changed :(, but at least she got to come home with us. Her bilirubin has been dropping so hopefully she can stop using it on Monday or Tuesday so we can hold her more often. Besides that Evelynn is doing well and is eating great. She has periods of lots of activity and then lots of sleep. She doesn't care for being changed or getting a sponge bath, but likes seeing faces and listening to what you have to say.

The first picture is of Dad, Evey and Sampson, before we got the UV blanket, just relaxing on the couch (2/4/09). The second picture is of Evey the day we left hospital, wearing her first non-hospital outfit (2/3/09). The third picture is of Evey in her coat and car seat, getting ready to go home (2/3/09). The fourth picture is of Evey during her second day, 2/2/09. The movie at the end is from today, 2/7/09.

Well here she is, Evelynn Ember Yasensky. She was born on Feb 1, 2009 at 2:35 AM, that's right Superbowl Sunday. She just didn't want to miss the game. She was born at 7lbs 14 oz., 20.5 in long, big baby. Mom and Dad will be at Clear Lake Regional Hospital until Tuesday.
