Halloween and Working on Walking

Hi All,
Evey went trick or treating on our street this year. I've uploaded a picture of what she wore, a kitty shirt and skull and cross bones pants. We couldn't get a real costume this year, due to them all being made of polyester, but she's really cute anyway ;)
Grandma Tanya came for a two week visit, which included Halloween. So Grandma helped Evey eat her candy :) Grandma Tanya also helped a LOT with the house work, which helped Mommy and Daddy enormously, THANKS GRANDMA TANYA !!!
Evey can now stand up quite well if there is something in front of her to pull up on, like her play table, the couch or her baby fence. She can walk along the side of the couch and circle her play table very well also. She sometimes lets go of what she is holding on to for a short while before needing to hold on again. She helps mommy fold clothes, by taking clothes out of the basket. If she sees one of her shirts she'll put in on her head and pull with both hands. Sorry I don't have a video of that, its really cute. I think she's trying to put her own clothes on. She is still quite far from achieving that, but her thinking about it is still really cute.
The first picture is of Evey after having one of her Yo-Baby Yogurts. There is a picture of her with her play table and new puzzle mat, so she doesn't hurt her head when she falls down. There are some pictures of Evey and Grandma Tanya at Kemah. There is a picture of her with her 'All I want for Christmas is my Auntie' shirt from Aunty Kelly. Then there are some pictures of her in her Halloween outfit and her little pumpkin and her candy pal pumpkin. There is a video of her hearing her Halloween card from Aunty Heather and Uncle Tony. And a video of her going up 3 stairs. She can go up the whole flight of stairs now. The third video is of her eating Cheerios this morning. She eats that at school for breakfast also. She's such a big girl. We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving !!!

We're Standing

Hi All,
Its been a about a month and its time for another blog update ;) Evey will be 9 months old soon, Nov 1. She's crawling like a champ now, very quickly and as many places as she can get to before we can catch her. She can stand up if there is something in front of her to climb up, like a tall toy, the couch or a baby gate. I've put up some pictures and quite a few movies. There is a picture of her with her Daddy and one of her and her Mommy (in the park). There is also a picture of her with her pumpkin, from this week. And there is a picture of her in her Gator outfit and a little hair tie, getting ready to watch the Gator game today. The gator game is still going on, but Evey had to go to bed at half time. I'll let her know how the game went in the morning. There is a movie of her drinking with a cup, very amusing. There is a movie of her standing and playing with her new toy table. There is a movie of her feeding her self a banana cookie. We've been working on having her eat solid foods that aren't baby jar foods. She'll eat ground up meat, like from inside a tamale or steamed dumpling. She'll eat yogurt and some Gerber puffs too, which are just a type of baby treat.
There is also a video of her saying 'Da Da'. She does say 'Da Da' and 'Ma Ma' a lot and she knows who is who. In the mornings John usually picks her up and changes her, so when she wakes up in the morning we can usually hear her calling 'Da Da' into the monitor. And when she's fussy and wants to eat or nap she'll usually make a sad face and say 'Ma Ma'.
We met with her teacher at school today and she said that Evey was very smart and can catch on to what she's trying to teach her very quickly. Her teacher is very nice and has a Masters in Education, and after her kids went off to college she decided she really wanted babies in her life so she started teaching at day care, which she has done for 13 years now.

For Halloween we were planning on walking Evey around our street to see the neighbors. We didn't get a costume, they were all ployester, but we got her a little Halloween Outfit to wear. So, to wrap it up, she's doing great with her crawling, is standing up pretty well and is doing great at school.

We're on the Move

Hi Everyone. Sorry about the lapse between blog updates. With that here is a summary of the last month and a half:

She had quite a few visitors. Grandpa Walt and Uncle Dave came to play with her in August. She had a really great time seeing her Grandpa and Uncle :). Then Uncle Matt and Maddy came for a visit during labor day weekend and Evey had a lot of fun with them, going to the park and the mall.

She started sitting well in August. I've posted some pictures of her doing some great sitting. The one of her in her Gator Outfit (Thanks Aunty Heather and Uncle Tony) is from last weekend when the Gators beat Tennissee.

She started crawling last week (around September 15). She doesn't usually go really far, but if there's something she wants to get to she will get there. She can be very determined, especially when its one of the dogs or electronics. At the bottom I put a little video of her crawling a short way. She can crawl farther, just not when I get out the camera.

She drinks out of a cup now. She's not fond of the bottle or sippy cups at all. So she drinks water and milk out of small plastic cups. She really enjoys having some water with her baby food. She'll giggle and smile when she sees the plastic cup, its very amusing. I'll try to get a video of it sometime.

Evey is doing very well at day care. She now goes to a day care which has an infant room that only goes from 0-12 months, instead of 0-18 months. She gets to spend a lot more time on the ground crawling around and playing with toys. They also play songs and have puppets.

That pretty much wraps up the last month and a half. I'll try not to allow so much time to go by before the next update. :)

Photos Photos Photos

Just a quick info blirb on how to order photos, if you want. Here is the website: http://www.holdmymemories.com/my_familywebsite/home/KristinFitzpatrick of where the pictures are, Studio One to One. You can then call the place 281-486-1987 and order pictures you want. It will come with touch ups, they said that one sheet of picts ( 1 8x10, 2 5x7, etc.) would be $25. If you just want to look through the picts then thats fine too. With the plan we have we get one photo session a month, we don't get all the picts just 1 8x10 for us, but they put up the other picts for people to order if they want.

Evey Turns 6 Months Old

Hi All. Evey is 6 months old !!! YAY!!! I put up some picts taken since the last post. The first is of Evey's Daddy reading her a book about Sushi. I think it was a little too real as she tried to put the book in her mouth the whole time. The next two pictures is of a before and after shot of Evey when she was starting to eat some real food. She wasn't really into it at first but on the third day she really got into eating some carrots. We tried peas today, she doesn't seem to like them too much but we'll try again and see how she feels tomorrow. I put up a video of her eating some carrots after she starting liking them. I also put up a video of her sitting up by herself on the couch. Its not for very long but the doc says she's on schedule and she should soon be putting her own hands out to steady herself.

She had her 6 month check up during the week and the doc says Evey is doing fine. She is 27 inches long, putting her in the 83%, she weighs 16 lbs putting her in the 41% and her head circumference is 16 3/4 inches putting her in the 45%.

Evey in July

Hi Everyone. Here are some picts and movies of Evey during July. Its one week until she's 6 mo. old and she's almost 16lbs. She can give raspberries and looks at you if you call her name, 'Evey'. She can spin around on the tummy time mat and can scoot just a little bit, not quite crawling yet, but getting closer. If you stand her up and let her grab onto your knee she can keep herself up for a little while. And if you hold her under her arms and walk her around the room she'll step along with you. She still loves jumping in her jumparoo. When she sees her Daddy she gives him raspberries so he'll do them back at her. She loves her Daddy's funny faces.

We also did a photo shoot today. I uploaded the photos on to our Picasa web album site, just click on the 'all pictures' link on the left hand side of the screen. They are not in picture print out ratio, but you can cut them down to size if you want. They will also have some up on the photo store's webpage if you want to order some that are 'touched up'. I also put up the album of our picts and movies of Evey from July 5 to 22, if you want to see more than what I've posted.

I've put a couple of photos from the photo shoot here with this blog post. I also put a pict of Mommy and Evey and one of her in her 'BYOB' - Brying Your Own Bottle onsie from Aunty Heather and Uncle Tony. I also put a movie of her playing the piano, one of her doing some tummy time and one of her in her jumparoo.
She loves everybody and hopes everybody can come by and visit her again real soon. :D

Evey's Doc apt today

Hi All! Evey had her 4 mo. doc apt today. She's just fine. Her mechanical skills are coming along great. Her new task is to work on crawling and sitting without a lot of help. She will also start baby rice cereal soon. Her measurements were: Height: 25 1/4 in. (74 percentile), Weight: 14 lbs 3.5 oz (51 percentile), Head circumference: 16 1/4 in (48 percentile). She got some more shots today and is sort of fussy and really just wants to nap on mama's belly. So that's what we're doing. The video was from 2 days ago, but thought it was worth putting up. She really enjoys her jumparoo :D

Evey's God Parents Visit

Hi Everyone. Here are some picts of the week that her God Parents, Uncle Tony and Aunty Heather, spent with Evey. Evey went to the museum and saw the Terracotta Warriors. She went swimming and went to Red the sushi restaurant for Uncle Tony's birthday. She had a great time with her Aunty and Uncle :)

Evey's Baptism - May 24

Hi All. Evey had her Baptism on May 24. Sorry it took so long to get the picts up. The first pict is of Evey, us and Rev. Bill Hyde. She was Baptized at St Thomas Episcopal Church. She did very well, no crying during the Baptism or when she was walked around the church to say hi to evertone. The second pict is of her with Grandpa Fitz. The third is with Eric, who flew from FL to be here :D The fourth pict is of Evey, us and her God parents Uncle Tony and Aunty Heather. The other picts are of the BBQ afterwards at our house. There was some Red River BBQ, a cookie cake, some swimming and plenty of sittin' and gabbin'.
